Summer Summer Summer Timeeeee

Yes Yes Yes!! It's officially time for short everything. Short shorts, short skirts, your shoulders finally breathing and belly tops. Throwing up the middle finger to anyone asking about the gym because you're going to get whatever "Summer body" I have. Period pooh!! So shave those legs or don't but definitely go out and enjoy the weather. Between them sisters, Winter and Spring, I'm not sure who worked my nerves more. Now I haven't been driving for a long time but at this point I would say I'm experienced. (Shoot experienced enough to get that dam car insurance down about $100, you feel me) But that girl Winter had me slipping and sliding this past December and I can't even lie, it shook me up. I ended up driving back home and calling my manager to say "I will not be coming into work". I don't even drive down that road anymore. TO THIS DAY!! On some "you not about to get me again". So yeah Winter wasn't all that great for me. And you guys know about Spring, she was draggggggggggin it. I never came across so much rain in my life. Now I'm not saying I enjoy my thick thighs rubbing together or the excessive sweat from my underboobs alone but I do loveeee the fact the world opens up in this season. (P.S. if you're a thick thigh rubber like me, my trick is to glide your deodorant down your inner thighs. Because the rubbing will happen regardless but now it's not irritating and it smells good).

It seems like people are nicer as if they drop the mean old bitch of an attitude off at summer camp and probably won't pick them back up until October. *shrugs* Well let me just say that's me lol I don't have time to be mean or rude in the Summer. For one it's too dam hot to be going back and forth with these.... and honestly I don't have a roley but I still don't have the timeeee lmaoo. I'm just here for a good time, not a long time. Okay I'm done with the music references lol, I think. Me personally I'm someone that loves going out even when it's cold. You know dinners, movies, outings, social events but I'm cool with staying in when there's ice, snow, or rain on the forecast. No need for me to break out of my hibernation. But as of last Friday June 21st, the heat started whispering in my ear on some "Come outside, we have Capri Sun pouches filled with henny and juice" and I started listening lol.

As you figured, I'm not one that likes spending my own mula but it is what it is. There's so many activities to do that might not have us breaking the bank the entire season. Find what works for you and your budget. Between the festivals, beaches, waterparks, amusement parks, bbq's, boat rides and my fave day parties, your options are limitless. There's no reason why you should be staying in, unless it's your preference. For me, Negative. I'm going to enjoy my summer as if I had a long school year and I was just told my name isn't on the list for Summer school. Last summer I found myself denying a good time because of funds. I didn't really go out as much as I would've and money was definitely the common denominator for that. Now I'm not saying to forget your regular responsibilities but sometimes you need a break. I can honestly say I'm at a point where funds will not dictate my fun. Oooh I like that lol.

So to start off the Summer I drove down to New York for a day with my beau this past Saturday. We were on the Island, Staten Island, where we enjoyed a wavey brunch at Pastry Lovers Choice amongst our good friends and good company. (Quick story time: I met Bilal through my friend Denee. They both grew up on the island) But yes, Bilal's mom, her restaurant was a vibe. Ms. Sahera Hakam is not only the chef but the owner of this fine establishment on 370 Van duzer St. You know how I feel about black owned businesses. If you are ever in the area, go support because the food is great and the owner was so nice!! I ate my chicken and waffles so fast I forgot to snap a photo. *smacks forehead* I really have to get into the habit of blogging even at events!! I'll just blame it on the many mimosas and sangria that was also in attendance at this brunch. What's a brunch without them? But here's a picture of one of the meals on the brunch menu.

Red Velvet Chicken and Waffles. YESS!!

It was really refreshing to just get up and drive and not have to worry about a jacket or anything for that matter. After the many mimosas, we found ourselves on the boardwalk creating memories. And that's all I want to do this summer. Stay on the lookout for me and my fupa enjoying our season together. Our "Real Hot Girl" Megan led us to this mantra, "Hot girl Summer"!! And that it will be.

Funds DO NOT dictate Fun!! Ain’t that a word! Staten Islandis a lil too distant & remote for my taste but that chicken & waffles got me looking like 🤪
